The majority of my students are of diverse cultures and have minimal to broken english. Having this interactive projector will help me bring visual communication to another level, whereas my my verbal explanations and posters can just touch on. This technology will enable me to display videos of sportsmanship, to videos or gifs of skill movements that we are learning about. I will also utilize the projector to display a visual timer for activities which students will be doing fitness exercises such as tabata warm ups. Visually seeing the timer, videos, gifs will enhance students motivation to perform and provide them with a better understanding of the lessons they are participating in. They will always have a visual to help thanks to your assistance in helping us obtain this interactive projector. According to an article posted on insight resources, visuals help students better engage with the lessons, increases retention by 29-42%, develop higher-order thinking skills, hone fundamental abilities that enable students to see and conceptualize visuals clearly, enhance tactile hand-eye-mind connections that improve the ability to recall facts and retain learning, serve the unique needs of learners who process information primarily through visuals, as well as increase learning for all students, provide new opportunities to some students with learning differences and challenge students who are gifted or twice exceptional. These are all the key points as to why obtaining an interactive projector will enhance my students learning experience in PE. Not only will it assist with visual communication, but it will make learning in PE even more exciting. (If that is even possible!)
