iPads provide students with a wide-range of hands-on learning activities that support the diverse learner in the classroom. Through the use of technology, they will be learning real-world skills through more in-depth, project-based activities. iPads would enable us to provide more performance-based assessments that would fulfill the unique needs of these students. We will be utilizing the technology to support performance-based assessments. Students will produce newscasts, films, and stop-motion animation as a means to creatively share their understanding of core content areas. For example, students will write and film a newscast that includes interviews with scientists and their inventions that have had an impact on society.

About my class
