Students come to school each day, sometimes eager to learn and sometimes dreading the idea of being in school because they so exhausted from whatever kept them up all night. I watch my kids each day choose to sit on their feet instead of their chairs, to stand while working, to lean back in their chairs, and to also find any excuse to just walk around the room because it's just so uncomfortable for them to sit at a desk and focus steadily all day. Flexible seating allows for the students to work on in a comfortable setting. It allows them to make the choice of what's best for them. It makes the students feel as if their opinions matter each day. Flexible seating will allow for my students to WANT to come to school and be eager to learn.
