As adults, we understand just how difficult it is to stay seated for long periods at a time. We also understand that something that works for our colleagues may not work for us, and we might be more successful trying a different path to achieve a goal. Today, we recognize that no two students learn the same, similar to adults. Just as I differentiate my lessons, activities, and assessments for my students, I want to also differentiate how my students can learn. Through flexible seating, I will provide my students with the choice in how they learn in my classroom. They will be able to be comfortable in my classroom, and work collaboratively or independently with the students around them. By donating to this project, you will be helping sixth grade students by providing a flexible environment that caters to all students and their independent learning needs.
