My Students Imagine living in a world you know nothing or very little about. My students need materials that will expose them to events happening in the world around them. I am a first grade teacher at a Title I school in a rural community in Southern Oregon. Our district is providing the school with the essentials to give our students the best education possible. However, because of budget cuts, it is difficult to provide extras such as magazines in order to stimulate students' interest in current events. The majority of the students were born here and have not traveled much or know much about the world around them.
