"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." This quote by Dr. Seuss reminds me everyday that it is important to provide my students with endless opportunities to dive into a variety of books. Whether it be fiction or non-fiction, picture books or chapter books, my students deserve the chance to expand their knowledge. Along with the opportunity to get lost in a book, students need to be provided the opportunity to learn from the books they read. When provided the chance to discuss books that have "rich" content, students can do just that; reading will certainly take them places.
