Imagine being so excited to come to school every morning that you insist on being a car rider just so you can get to class early! This is the type of environment I want to create for my kids. Help me make mornings magical! So often kids get to school and have to sit quietly and read a book, which is great but what if they were allowed to be creative and get their mental energy flowing? Don't you think they would be more eager and ready to take on tough material throughout the day? I would like to create morning choice stations for my students as they arrive at school. My students would be able to choose from STEM activities-which foster thinking, games-which foster cooperation, or hands-on building activities-which foster creativity. Having access to things such as STEM building blocks will kick start my students critical thinking skills first thing in the morning! They will also be able to visit with classmates in a structured game environment which will allow them to interact before getting down to the business of learning. My goal is for my students to WANT to come to school early!
