My 5th grade students are continuing with mathematical fundamentals, and beginning to learn more complex processes. Using integrated technology and having a calculator readily available in the classroom is an essential piece of that. My hope is that by having a class set at hand it will help contribute to the efficiency of lessons and class time. Valuable time can easily go by while students are finding the essential supplies they need. Often students may not have the supplies, for various reasons, including the inability to obtain them. Our class will use a variety of engaging academic strategies to help students become excited about math and learning. Having the calculators will contribute to their overall success. This will be my first year at this school and with the students. Thank you for helping me set up a welcoming and supportive classroom for my students!
