I currently have 19 students in my class. They are a great bunch of energetic and talkative kindergarteners. They love having free time and playing games on the computers. Learning is not a priority for them, as most have never been required to sit still to learn something new. I have some students who came to school knowing how to write their name, as well as the names and sounds of letters, while the majority of the students know only a few letters in the alphabet, and a handful of students, who after 3 weeks of school, continue to struggle to identify and write the letters in their first name. Our school is a fairly small school located in rural southern Indiana. The majority of the students come from underprivileged families and move from school to school due to financial reasons. Please help us fund an ipad for our classroom to enhance student learning and as a way to integrate technology.
