Hi! Thanks for looking at my page! I am new to Donors Choose, so I'm not sure what to write here. :) I'm a 55YO middle school teacher with 20+ years of experience teaching grades 5, 6, and 8, in self-contained classrooms and in the middle school setting. I teach 6th grade Social Studies, which includes the Constitution and Government, American History, Geography, and Economics. We do not shy away from "hard history," and my kids are so invested in the things we study--particularly when we use primary source materials. Our school is full of wonderful kids who don't always get the same financial support that wealthier districts provide. I do what I can on my own, but sometimes we all need a little help. Anyway, thank you for being the kind of caring person who would peruse Donors Choose to begin with! Whomever you decide to support, we teachers appreciate YOU! :) Have a great day!
