These light boxes will not only help early elementary students gain confidence in their art through tracing, but as students progress through the art curriculum, they can use these light boxes to create more sophisticated layered projects that can also be created by taping their project layers to a window. Unfortunately, my classroom is in the basement, so my students are unable to use that resource to create their designs. Because of this, there are projects my students simply cannot do. Animation is one of my students' most-mentioned professions when they tell me they're interested in art as a career, and I would love to give them some real-life experience in the magic of making their characters come to life. With these light boxes, we can create flipbooks, layered design projects, and even short animated films.
