iPads bring forth a great deal of engagement. With the implementation of blended learning these devices will not be used as a one off on Free-time Fridays but instead will allow for intentional use for the purpose of increasing engagement and encouraging for critical thinking skills and collaboration. Using blended learning and a project-based learning framework, iPads can support students in long term projects as well as daily core subjects. I believe the best part of iPad usage is that students can access the devices easily. They are inclusive and provide opportunities for a diverse community of learners as they are more manageable than traditional keyboard devices. With iPads they will be able to develop their future ready skills which include but are not limited to inquiry, initiative, creativity, and grit. Please help me help my students succeed in second grade and help them build a solid foundation so they will be equipped for a future that demands problem solving and innovation.
