Last year, my students absolutely loved reading books together as a class and choosing books from our class library. However, my school does not have enough class sets of books which makes our literature circle time difficult. Many of the students entering fourth grade this year will never have found a book that they simply could not resist. Our reading program, although rigorous, is not inspiring to most 9-10 year old students. With exposure to exciting, age appropriate books, these students will be able to grow into more curious, engaged readers.
