My 22 students are in first grade this 2021-2022 school year. They are predominantly Latino living in Berwyn, Illinois. 88% of students at my school are low-income, 81% of students are Latino. My classroom is a place where students feel comfortable, safe, and eager to learn. My students come to my classroom to gain skills to become biliterate in both English and Spanish. Our Dual Language program acknowledges the benefits of bilingualism and wants to support students home language.

About my class
