At the beginning of the school year, I planned for my students to keep all of their belongings (such as pencil pouches, math and ELA notebooks, independent reading bags) in nice, neat stacks at the end of their table. However, with five students to a table, things are getting a little cramped.
We have loose papers, pencil pouches falling, notebooks stacked haphazardly...what better way to fix these issues than chair covers? With this project, each student will have their own individual chair cover for all of their belongings. This will maximize our table space, eliminate time wasted going through stacks of notebooks to find a specific one, and help with keeping our independent reading books out of our student mailboxes. Students will also have a place to keep their pencil pouches so that they are not getting mixed up with other students or having to pass them around.
These chairback buddies would definitely benefit my students by giving them their own space for their belongings and would lessen the time spent on students' collecting materials...allowing them more time to maximize their learning and "grow their brains".
