My first grade students attend school in a large urban district in Massachusetts. They come from various economic backgrounds. As first graders they are very busy, excited about learning and have short attentions spans that need to be refocused with entertaining and engaging activities. In my class, I have many different levels of learning abilities from low to high that need to be addressed through differentiated learning to help all of my students become successful learners.
