I am the math teacher at an inner city, alternative high school. 100% of our kids come from poverty, and our school does not have the resources to provide a lot beyond simple white paper and pencils. I want to make my classroom a welcoming space, with the materials available to help them learn to love learning - especially math! These basic classroom supplies - colored paper, scissors, glue sticks, colored pencils - will be transformed into interactive notebooks, enable kids to make attractive displays and more. Math manipulatives such as algebra tiles and counters help kids who need the concrete examples to process their learning. Having access to supplies that allow them to create learning for themselves makes the experience more meaningful. Please help us out.
