Libraries should be the central location within the school; where all students feel welcome and books are easily accessible to all ages. This is the kind of environment is what we are working hard to create. This kindergarten book cart will allow these young students to independently find books that spark their interest. Trips to the library should inspire a love of reading and when kids can explore books on their own, they are more likely to find a book they will take home and read. Currently, we are making-do with furniture and shelving that was passed down from other schools or it's from years ago and needs to be replaced before it falls apart. This cart is just the beginning of makes our library and books more accessible to our amazing students. Our hope is this love of learning and reading will continue throughout their school years and whole life.

About my class
