My students are diagnosed with Autism and struggling with answering questions. Technology is a key instrument to help them engage in wh questions. We use a interactive question and answer program that can reach all areas of different academic needs. Students with Autism require differentiation for their best engaged learning. Technology helps to keep them engaged and the program allows the teacher to cross all areas of academics in one program for all students. The program is designed to start with an objective such as who questions from a story we are currently working on or something similar to help with higher order questioning. Then the question appears on their tablet with A,B,C,D choices. The student touches their choice and all the answers appear on the smart board. We can thing see who needs further assistance with the question or those that are ready for the next level of questioning. Fun and quick way to differentiate and get great data.
