As the English as a New Language/Special Education Classroom, my students need intense curriculum that provides a multi-modal approach to language and math acquisition. With these computers, students can access hands-on, interactive programs that are proven to increase growth when used on a daily basis. Currently, the students only have access to two iPads, one of which was previously mine and donated to the class. The computers will make a huge difference in the students’ learning by being utilized during reading workshop to teach fluency, during writing to teach vocabulary skills, and during math to have students play their way through addition and subtraction drills.
