Having the iPads in our classroom will allow for greater ease of use with finger touch navigation and more flexibility when using assigned apps. The ease of tracking each student's progress will aide in monitoring the skills learned and allow for efficiency when moving to higher leveled skills. Reaching that "Aha" moment doesn't occur at the same time for all students. Growth and development takes on a different look for each child. It is necessary for them to work at their own pace, on the leveled skills presented to them when trying to attain proficiency. The iPads will allow for leveled practice of skills in both ELA and Math. Our classroom consists of various learning centers which promote independent learning. Currently, our learning centers consists of various hand-made and store-purchased activity packets. We also have a 6-student capacity CD listening center and four Chrome Notebooks for leveled ELA and Math skills. Changing things up, keeps the students interested and makes learning fun. With the cover-protected iPads as an addition to our learning centers, students will adapt to the 21st century's technical advancements.
