Flexible seating allows students to make choices about where they are most comfortable learning. During our guided reading stations and independent work time, they can find a spot that is safe and comfortable. We are especially aware of the need to socially distance this year due to COVID-19. Typically, my students work in groups at tables. However, we need to be able to spread out and have individual work spaces. I would also like a durable lap desk that we can take outside , so we can spread out and work. I have noticed my kids work really well when they can choose a spot. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. My students stay calm, are focused, and are more productive when they use flexible seating. The products I have chosen can be easily used indoors or out. They will allow the kids to have a comfortable floor seating option or a super spot in the grass.
