My Pre-K students attend a Title 1 school with over 97% of them being on free/reduced lunches. Many of our students come from non English speaking families or limited English. My students LOVE books. They love when we have DEAR time and they get to sit at they carpet and read/look through books that we've read aloud. They are starting to look for letters that we've talked about and tell their friends about the book they are looking at. It's so exciting to see this take place.
