My students love reading books that represent their race, culture, and that feature characters with whom they can relate. We have a small section of culturally relevant books in our library and would like to expand the collection. Students have been engaging in research projects, book studies and discussions whether they are learning virtually or in person. Students will expand their social and cultural awareness and teach others about the many contributions, challenges and triumphs from the people of color represented in these books. We thank you for supporting us!
