In 7th grade Life Science, students learn about living things and their integrations with in their environment. We start small examining cells and their organelles and end discussing the biomes of the world. Children learn by doing and touching, and to allow students to work with cells it can become very expensive. Receiving these microscopes for my classroom will allow me to introduce my students to the cellular world. These microscopes will give my students a chance to see what we can't see with the naked eye. My plan is to use these microscopes throughout the school year to learn about cell structure, Mitosis and Meiosis, the differences between plant and animal cells, and many other cellular processes. Allowing students to examine and identify different parts of cells giving them an opportunity to explore a world that most cannot.
