Choice leads to engagement and more productive learning. Research shows that comfortable classrooms are good for the mind and body of our students! I want to be able to provide my students with options to lay down or sit or stand and do their work to increase engagement, comfort, and motivation. Flexible seating also allows for 21st century skills (collaboration, communication, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity) to develop in the classroom. The products that I have chosen will benefit my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The round table is adjustable to floor height, so students can still sit at a table to collaborate, but will be able to sit comfortably on the floor. The floor seats, yoga mats, and cushion will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. In my kindergarten classroom, we already do most of our work and learning on the floor and I have seen increased engagement in my young learners. Please help me give my students free range choice and power over where they learn and work.
