I have a second grade classroom full of wonderful, smart, fun loving students. Many of my students are just beginning to find the their love for reading in second grade as they begin to read chapter books. My school is located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. I have a wide range of students in my classroom. Some students have parents willing to purchase them books at home, where others ask to take home books at night to read because they just can't put their book down! Students in my classroom have been making connections to their books, writing about what they are reading, and having discussions with their friends based off of new book series they discover! It is truly wonderful to see students become so engrossed and so excited about a new book or a new book series that they just can't put down the book! Reading is an extremely beneficial skill that will benefit my students for their entire life.
