There are phrases we teachers say every day, often multiple times a day. "Please sit safely. Please don't lean back. Please, let's focus!" Our small group instructional time is so precious that we don't have a second to spare; we must focus fast. By funding this project, you will be providing our class with beneficial tools to let my students wiggle while they work, letting them get the stimulus they need while remaining engaged. The requested materials will facilitate an innovative way to keep my students' bodies busy, while also maintaining their engagement throughout our small group lessons in the classroom. I chose the 14" wobble stools based on an occupational therapist's recommendations for my targeted age group. I have requested 5 wobble stools to best accommodate the needs of a standard first grade small group.
