This is my first project that I have requested! As this is my seventh year of teaching, I have previously bought all of the above items (and then some) over the years. These items are absolutely necessary to run a positive and functional classroom. When students have the right materials to work with, they will be that more confident and succeed. As first graders are learning and diligently practicing writing, having enough pencils and erasers are crucial to have readily available. A sturdy pencil sharpener is a must-have to keep our pencils ready for action. Using white boards is another great way for students to practice, erase, and try again as they master their writing skills. Clip boards allow them to work comfortably anywhere in the room. Leveled reading books give the gift of reading for enjoyment as they choose a book that fits their reading ability. Lastly, the organizational supplies I am requesting are to allow me to run an efficient class for the day to run smoothly.
