I teach at a Title 1 school and I am privileged to teach an amazing group of active learning first graders. My students come from very different backgrounds and lifestyles. I also have various learning styles to accommodate. My goal with this project is to make my classroom where everyone can be successful. I want my students to be able to channel their energy while learning. My students need flexible seating that will allow them to wiggle and bounce while strengthening their core, and also maintain and focus their attention on learning. I believe by integrating flexible seating it will help me teach my students about an active, healthy lifestyle and help them improve their overall well being.
