Hello and Thank You :) I have been a teacher with MCPS for six years now. My one true grade level love is 1st grade and I have spent my entire teaching career turning shy Kindergartners into strong and confident 1st Graders. I have both a BA in Theatre and a BS in Early Childhood Education and next Fall I'll begin my M.Ed in Special Education. My training and pedagogies find me incorporating a lot of art, music, and kinesthetic learning into my classroom. My child development background also inspired me to incorporate a responsive classroom design into my room: students sit on wiggle cushions, yoga balls, lay on the floor, or work at a standing height table. Additional I have built more outdoor free play into our daily schedule to wonderful results in our classroom behavior and focus! When I am not with my school babies I spend my time with my own two little boys, 3.5 years and 20 months, and my husband xoxo
