The pieces of furniture that I selected for this project will create a comfortable learning environment for all my students. I chose items that will allow students to pick a different seat that they feel most comfortable learning in. These seats will be placed sporadically around my classroom. I decided on yoga balls, kneeling cushions, stools, and gliding chairs. I also added lap trays to allow students to complete their work at their flexible seating arrangement rather than at a desk. Not all kids learn the same way, so why are they all seated the same way? As an educator, it is my job to know how each student learns. I know that giving students choice, will make them happier, more confident learners, and more engaged in what is going on in class. I can't wait to see my classroom become a fun place to learn!
