Shakespeare's language can be tough to read, so I have spent a great deal of time trying to find creative ways to help my students comprehend the original text. Therefore, my students need a resource that will help them understand the play, Romeo and Juliet, instead of spending so much time trying to translate every line. The new books will give freshmen students the opportunity to expand their vocabulary and introduce them to an understandable version of the text. Having these books will also help me devote more time to facilitating class discussions and developing higher-order thinking skills and not have to worry about translating the play.
