A diverse classroom library will help me create lifelong readers. Books like 1+1=5 and Other Unlikely Additions, and titles like Zero, will not only engage students in academics, but will allow me to model my thinking as a reader during read-aloud. Students can learn through the experiences of other children igniting change around the world like Malala and Iqbal. They can become inspired to be the leaders of tomorrow. They can read and learn from fictional characters who are just like themselves in many ways, navigating uncharted territory into young adulthood in titles like Frazzled: Everyday Disasters and Impending Doom.

About my class
