We use dry erase lapboards twice daily for guided practice in math and phonics. We gather at the carpet and my students hold their boards up to show me their work. I am able to informally assess the whole class at once! The problem is, the boards become stained and damaged with such frequent use. I have been using the same class set for the last 7 years, and they were well-loved when I inherited them! Please consider giving our 1st graders the privilege of having BRAND NEW lapboards, erasers, and storage when they come back in the fall. These kids deserve it!
