My basic skills class is located within a district that is in a more rural area, close to a military base. My roster is comprised of fifth and sixth graders, who are reading below grade level, but are not classified students. Many have 504s for attention and focus-related issues. They are bright and have creative minds! However, one of the major obstacles standing in their way to learning success is the ability to remain on task.
