The FlashForge 3D printer can be used in many ways in our classroom. Scholars can make replications of things they have learned in science, such as cells, major body organs, etc., as well as character representations from novel studies or social studies lessons. They will apply mathematical skills throughout the creative process as they decide the shape, width, height, etc. of their design. They will also be using the 3D printer to create mathematical representations to show volume, fractions, and other math concepts to solve real world math problems. My goal is to give students a chance to create their own designs using their own ideas. A FlashForge 3D printer will give scholars an opportunity to become young inventors utilizing 21st century technology skills.
