Welcome to my Japanese Special Class, where students in grades K–6 across our entire school have the opportunity to learn Japanese language and culture! Because Japanese is offered as a school-wide special, students begin building their skills in kindergarten and continue developing them through 6th grade. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate while allowing students to build on their previous learning each year. Younger students may learn through movement, songs, drawing, and play, while older students engage in conversations, reading, writing, projects, and cultural explorations. Our goal is to create a classroom where every student feels successful, curious, and excited to communicate. With support from our donors, we can provide engaging materials and authentic learning experiences that help students connect language learning to the real world.
