I teach 6th grade Reading to about 110 students. We are a Title 1 school with many students who do not even come to school with the necessary supplies. Many of my students may not even have access to technology at home. These students brighten my day each and every day. I want to ensure that their learning environment doesn't only fill their learning needs but also their personal needs. I want to create a welcoming and comfortable learning environment. Everyday my goal is for them to learn while having fun. Reading is one of the most important subjects taught in school, yet many students dislike reading. My goal is to create life long readers in my classroom. These students all have a passion for learning and given the right tools they will become the great leaders of tomorrow. I am in my 2nd year of teaching and have so many goals to meet for my students. I want them to be prepared when I send them to 7th grade.
