I want to make math enjoyable for students in my classroom! My students love playing games and competing against one another. Playing math folder games is a wonderful way for my students to show their understanding of concepts, and to make them successful. I want my students to understand the math skills I teach them will be a part of their everyday life as they get older. Presenting students with everyday scenarios that involve math will help them understand why these concepts are important. I will be able to do this with the problem of the day warm-ups. The "Did You Solve ItHaving my students take it a step further and explaining the the strategies they used in solving multi-step problems will show mastery of concepts. Using these materials everyday will show my students the importance of mathematics, and help increase their confidence as a mathematical thinker.
