My goal with flexible seating is to provide areas for students to work and learn in the best environment for them. I want my students to take responsibility for their learning by making choices on where they will sit to learn each day. Have you ever tried to sit in a chair all day without being able to move? It is hard for a student to sit still all day. This project will help students of all learning styles be able to grasp content that will follow them for the rest of their lives as they grow. Studies have demonstrated a classroom that is built upon student choice increases individual and group empowerment and academic growth. By installing flexible seating options for my students, I hope to give them the opportunity to select the best place for their learning needs each day. I am excited to give my students the best environment possible to work in this year. This includes the wobble chairs and cushions, which allow students movement while providing ergonomic support along with yoga balls.
