Scholastic News and Time for Kids will enable students to explore their understanding of the world around them. Students are able to read about and discuss important events and topics in age and developmentally-appropriate ways. The magazines are leveled to be readily understood by 2nd graders and encourage students to become active and critical thinkers in today's world. This prepares them for an active role in their own future. Often our students' knowledge of the world is impeded by outdated textbooks or kid-UNfriendly media sources. Having access to news that interests them and connects them to the world around them is critical to enable them to grow into involved members of our society.

About my class
