My students need flexible seating options to help them find the space that works best for them to learn. I like to utilize cooperative learning strategies and a lot of discussions. Our current seating arrangement is not very conducive to this. I have requested special seating options for my 6th grade classroom. These items include wobble chairs and exercise ball chairs and new tables. I would like to add these items to the seating options that I already have to provide more options for students to choose from. Our classroom is a combination of general education and special education students all with various learning styles. I'm wanting to venture away from the traditional desk and chair to help students focus and learn to the best of their ability.
