I am honored to work with 50 sixth grade students every day. I teach two science classes and I am blessed to have many of the same students in my math classes. I am privileged to have hard-working students that want to be successful in school. My goal is to show my students that when investigating science and engineering, it's okay if you don't have the "right " answer because there are many different ways to look at a problem and find a solution. My students are often afraid of failing and tend to be cautious when learning new concepts. Since Little Bits are learning toys, my students may feel more secure to explore and begin to think in a more creative way. This year we have an intervention / extension time built into our daily schedule. However, we have few resources to extend learning for our math and science thinkers. Little Bits challenges all students to learn through play. As soon as you get it out of the box, you can start out-of-the box thinking.
