Students feel actively engaged in their learning by having some degree of choice and control over their environment and we all know that an uncomfortable student is a distracted and unproductive student. Flexible seating will allow the students to choose where they work best. Wobble chairs, bouncy seats, wobble cushions, standing desks, and comfy floor seating will allow students to build core strength and increase oxygen flow to the brain so they can stay focused and engaged. Flexible seating will also allow students to quickly pair up with other students during small group instruction, or when the class meets as a whole for direct, whole group instruction without moving heavy desks or chairs in a small space.
