I work with students with special needs in kindergarten, first and second grades. My students come to school eager to learn and want to do well. I work with students with learning disabilities, autism and developmental delays. We have a very inclusive school environment. In addition to working in the general education classroom on reading, writing, math and social skills, I also take some students to a separate location to work on IEP goals. I often get all kinds of students begging to come with me even though they don't need additional instruction. I even had one kindergartener ask me how much he had to pay me to take him in the small group!
