My Title One school is located in an area hard hit by the Great Recession, and the number of jobs and homes lost has caused many of our families to experienced financial stress the last few years. These changes have also had some positives...our school has lost students but is smaller, perhaps more responsive. We are focusing on students strengths, looking for leadership and building character. I am seeing students rise to the challenge and it is truly exciting. My students are a small window into our future, and I want to ensure that they have the tools necessary to succeed in the 21st Century!

About my class
