Learning today is not like it was in the past. Children need time to move around, they need the opportunity to stretch and flex and the opportunity to sit and learn in ways that are best for them. No child learns the same and desks just don't cut it anymore! If my project is funded, I'll be able to give a variety of students the ability to select their seating through flexible options that support their style of learning! They can sit on a stool that moves with them while they write, they can sit on the floor at a low table with a cushion that allows them to stretch out, or they can sit with clip boards on a balance ball or inflatable seat cushion. Each option will provide my students their best opportunity to learn!
