This fall I will have 25 eager kindergarten students. They will be entering with varying interests, backgrounds, cultures, spoken languages and at many different academic levels from having trouble holding a pencil, counting to 10, or not knowing the letters in their name to those who are already reading, writing and counting/adding on their own. There will be some students who have never been away from their parents and others who have been able to attend preschool or daycare. Many of my students will come to school not having had many academic experiences at home, leaving them unprepared.

About my class
