Students will use this 3-D printer for multidisciplinary assignments. One of my favorite activities in science is calculating density. It is one of the first units that students apply math skills in science. Students learn the density formula and calculate the volume and density of different objects. An activity like density can be taken a step further by designing and creating an object using Tinkercad and calculating the density of their 3-D printed objects. My students do not have access to a 3-D printer, but through your support of this project, students can design projects using their critical thinking skills while following the engineering design model.
